- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, University of South Florida, 1987
- Biomedical Engineer, Pulmonary Research. – University of South Florida and James A. Haley VA Hospital, 1987-1991
- Assembled a process for accurately capturing and processing physiologic data from patients with respiratory conditions to track and characterize progression in an effort to develop more effective treatment protocols. Physiologic signals were processed in both real and non-real time through the careful implementation of several algorithmic models including sampling, notch filtering, band pass filtering and power spectral density analysis
- Software Developer, Neurophysiologic Research – University of South Florida Medical College, 1991-1992
- Developed and X Windows and Motif data analysis software program to analyze and interpret up to 80 channels of physiologic data from various research studies. The program implemented filtering, averaging, event analysis, cut and paste and zoom.
- Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing and Digital Communications, University of South Florida, 1992
- Software Digital Signal Processing Engineer – Motorola, 1992-1996
- Co-Managed the development and implementation of the AT&T speech encoder within the iDEN cellular phone to significantly improve audio quality. Designed and wrote assembly level code for the AT&T 1627 DSP device to control the functionality of the speech encoder.
